Maynooth University Professor Emeritus John Sweeney, a climatologist who has worked for over 40 years in climate change issues. Professor Sweeney has worked with United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, served as president of the Meteorological Society of Ireland, work with An Teagasc, and evaluate Climate Action projects for the European Union. He has also participated in the United Nations Climate Conferences, better known as COP.

Niamh Garvey, who is a senior analyst at the National Economic and Social Council (NESC). NESC has been around for 50 years, and its main role is to provide policy advice to the Taoiseach and government on issues that have economic, social and environmental concern, such as housing, transport, social welfare… and now climate action.
